Joan Mirò, "Fete I", ink on paper on canvas, 1968.

Joan Miró was born in Barcelona in 1983. During his youth he moved to Paris and came in contact with names like Picasso and Tzara, and it’s during this period that begins his original style, initially influenced by Fauvism and Dadaism to go then flow into surrealism. With the maturity he focused his attention to the symbolism rather than on the subject represented; fighting with the traditional painting he developed a personal eccentric style, made of primary colors and solid lines, sometimes destabilizing, to achieve a new expression meanings.
